Assigned Alpha...................................April 6, 1999 (2nd tour)

Job Assignment...................................Controller, Main Mission

Profile:

Paul Morrow began his career as an Astronaut Cadet in the European Space Exploration Programme. His self confidence and ability to command made him a capable leader on many lunar exploratory missions. He jumped at the chance to partake in the construction of Moonbase Alpha. His natural leadership qualities lead him to be assigned as Controller of Main Mission upon completion of the base in 1994. Paul makes an excellent deputy for Koenig during the Commander's absence from the base. Appearing somewhat stern and abrupt in manner, Morrow's tough exterior belies a softer center. Although he seldom let it show whilst on duty, it was no secret that he had an affection for data analyst Sandra Benes. Paul dies, along with David Kano, when a booster fails on their Eagle barely twelve months after the Moon left Earth orbit.

Name.............................................................Benes, Sandra

Date of Birth......................................................May 3, 1973

Place of Birth...................................................Brunei, Borneo

Assigned Alpha..................................March 4, 1999 (1st tour)

Job Assignment..............................Coordinator of Data Section

Profile:

Coming from a multi-national background (her father is an Englishman of Hungarian descent and her mother is Burmese), Sandra encountered many different languages as her family moved from place to place during her youth. Perhaps this is where her interest in communication was born, but her interest in electronics stems from the years she spent as a child working in the lab of her father, Professor Lawrence Benes. Professor Benes developed the Interstellar Transmitter, a powerful broadcasting device vital for deep space communications. Knowing more about the unit than anyone besides her father, Sandra was a natural choice for the Data Section of Moonbase Alpha. Her expertise and skills allowed her to rise quickly to the position of Data Section Coordinator.
